I notice a very, very slight sulfur smell at first, but I've had other friends and family do a sniff check and they can't detect it after even a minute. It works great under makeup, or before bed. Plus if you're like me and have super-sensitive skin (Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid often make me break out even worse), this frugal find could be just the ticket to clear up your skin.I've bought a few bottles for friends and family - everyone is having great results! Since I am majorly pinching pennies lately, but don't want my face and skin reverting into a acne-laden nightmare, I'll definitely keep my Sulfur Ointment on my bedside table. I have tried many other products for acne and none of them have worked like this one. Also, I have recommended this product or a homemade concoction with sulfur to others with very promising results. If you suffer from acne, I would strongly recommend you try this product (or any other sulfur product of sufficient concentration) before trying all the harsh chemicals on your skin such as benzoyl peroxide (proactive, etc) which are not only dangerous but are also pretty expensive.Why only four stars? Because this product does not dry very well and you have to apply it and then remove it after 10 minutes which is pretty inconvenient. Think about it, if you are going to apply it morning and night then you would have to wash your face four times a day since you would also want to clean your face before applying it.
