Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Cream Cleanser, 6.7-Ounce Reviews
| 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful This review is from: Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Cream Cleanser, 6.7-Ounce (Misc.) I used the old formula for years after my doctor specifically recommended it. However, the new formula contains menthol which causes a painful burning sensation, especially on my lips and eyelids when I rinse it off. The new fragrance smells like Raid Ant and Roach Killer. No responsible doctor would recommend menthol for blemished skin, yet Neutrogena still includes "Dermatologist Recommended" on the label. In fact, topical menthol products such as Bengay contain a warning not to use on damaged skin. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Cream Cleanser, 6.7-Ounce (Misc.) The image showing is not the same as the product received which has a new formula sign on the right corner. By comparing the new and the old ingredients list, the new formula removed Aloe leaf extract,Anthemis Nobilis flower extract, and Matriciaria flower extract.Even though the active ingredient is still 2% salicylic acid, the inactive ingredients has changed a lot. So the smell, texture, and the feel all changed. Honestly, the first time,it smells like insect spray but now I get used to it. The new formula has menthol which makes you feel like cold breezed after use. I neither like it nor hate it. However, I would not buy it again unless it returns to the old formula. By Tim (Central Coast California) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Cream Cleanser, 6.7-Ounce (Misc.) I never by anything but Neutrogena any more as it always seems to leave my skin the healthiest. I buy this one because it comes with the most product in it and I have never suffered from bad acne. I do however use this facewash daily to prevent the rouge pimple, and in that the product succeeds. I don't know how it works for actual acne, and therefore, cannot personnally recommend it for use as such. For a daily face wash for an adult, I think this product is great and have been sold on it for years. |
